Here, we have gathered useful information for your visit. Huseby Bruk is located along Route 23, 20 km south of Växjö. We hope you will find the answers to your questions here. If not, you are always welcome to phone us or send us an email.
May I bring my dog to Huseby?
You may bring your dog onto the area, as long as you keep it on a leash and clean up after it. However, you are not allowed to bring your dog into the castle or in the restaurant.
Accessibility
Disabled parking is available by the restaurant and in the middle of the estate area. Please contact the Tourist Information in the Old Forge for directions. Disabled restroom facilities are available in the Old Forge and in Elisabeths garden Café and Restaurant. Since the area is a cultural conservation area, unfortunately some buildings are not adapted for easy accessibility. For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs, walkers or prams in the Castle.
Payment
It is possible to pay by card in the estate’s shops, the admission office and restaurant. We do not accept cash.
Restrooms
When the estate area is open, there are restrooms available in the Old Forge, the iron mill, the old warehouse and in Elisabeth’s Restaurant & Café. In the off-season restrooms are only available in the Old Forge during the opening hours. Disabled restroom facilities are available in the Old Forge and at Elisabeths’s Restaurant & Café.
Bring your own picnic basket
There are tables outside in the area and by the parking lot, where you can sit with your own pre-packed picnic basket. Please ask the Information for directions.
