Christmas Fair
Christmas at Huseby Bruk 20 km south of Växjö is the largest Christmas market in the Nordic region today, with over 30 000 visitors. Around 170 exhibitors set up their booths on the estate. Here you find Sweden’s best craftsmen and small-scale food producers. Enjoy the wonderful scents of aromatic juniper, live candles and good food.
Take your time
The Christmas Fair at Huseby offers a fantastic supply of craftmanship as well as food craft from across the country. The crafters are well-selected each year and the food craft is usually locally produced.
You can easily spend an entire day at the Christmas Fair.
Apart from the different crafts, which you can find in seven different buildings, there is also the Old Forge with a shop and information and Kronobergsslöjdarna in the old Grevebyggnaden.
The Castle is open every day during the fair and its interior is well-kept and untouched since Ms. Florence’s era.
In the Stables we offer a classic Swedish “julbord”. In the Dairy – Elisabeth’s Garden Restaurant & Café – we offer more moderate sandwiches, hot soups and of course fika. In the area there is also a lot of food trucks with barbeques, wild game courses, vegetarian dishes and lots of other offers.
When the evening falls upon Huseby Bruk the daylight is replaced with the light from a hundred Christmas trees and thousands of marshals, which ultimately creates a magical atmosphere.
Craftmanship
Enjoy all the creativity and knowledge that is gathered here during the fair. Forging, ceramics, baskets, candle-making, woven table cloths, glass art, woodcraft – everything you can imagine. Different crafts of straw and Christmas gnomes in different forms and styles.
Food craft
Prepare for your Christmas dinner with different types of cheese, Swedish crisp bread, old-fashioned smoked chicken, lingonberry bread, sausages, marzipan, game meat, fermented herring, ostrich and maybe even a bottle of Huseby Bruks own classical “glögg”.
9th-17th November.
